You catch more Pokemon in Arceus than most other Pokemon games. This guide on How To Mass Release Multiple Pokemon In Pokemon Legends Arceus will help you manage your Pastures more easily as they can get filled in next to no time when you need to catch multiple Pokemon for evolutions or to complete their Pokedex entries.

Catching multiple Pokemon is not only encouraged in Arceus, it is rewarded. In previous games, unless you were hunting for competitive Pokemon, you could typically catch one of each type and leave it at that. However, in Arceus you are given more experience points for catching more of the same type Pokemon. A good idea in principle but for those of us that like to keep tidy and organized boxes, it quickly becomes a huge nightmare.

How To Mass Release Multiple Pokemon In Pokemon Legends Arceus

Fortunately, there is a method available to let you release multiple Pokemon at once, as many as you like in fact – and you are also rewarded heavily for this. You need to catch tons of Pokemon, enough to fill up 5 pastures. I don’t think story progress was required but I was only up to the second region so it’s not much if it is. When you have filled enough of your Pastures the NPC there will inform you of the ability to release multiple Pokemon at once.

Then you simply follow the prompts in the bottom right corner to select and release as many Pokemon as you want. The more you release, the more Grit you get in return. Grit is vital for increasing your Pokemon’s stats and making them stronger, so releasing Pokemon often is a good idea.

The entire move system has been overhauled and may be confusing for both new and existing players. This guide on How To Change Moves In Pokemon Legends Arceus will explain how you can change the moves available to each of the Pokemon in your team, as the system is different to previous games.

In traditional Pokemon games, Pokemon always learn new moves at the end of battle (or during) once they have reached the appropriate level to learn the move. While the system in Pokemon Legends Arceus is similar, it’s not the same. When you finish a battle look at the panel of Pokemon on the left side of the screen. If they level up and learn a new move, it will tell you they’ve learned a new move. You’re also alerted to moves that have been mastered this way.

How To Change Moves In Pokemon Legends Arceus

If you want to simply change moves, just open the menu and select the Pokemon you want to edit. When you select the Pokemon an option appears to change moves. Select this option. You will then get an entire list of moves available to that Pokemon at that level. Unlike other games you don’t forget a move when you overwrite an old one, you can switch as much or as little as you would like.

You can also speak to the move tutor in Jubilife Village at the arena. She can teach your Pokemon additional moves that they may not have access to otherwise.

Request #17 To Bloom Or Not To Bloom requires you to finish a Pokedex entry for Cherrim. This guide on Where To Find Cherrim In Pokemon Legends Arceus will tell you where you can catch a Cherubi which is not quite a Cherrim, but it will evolve into a Cherrim allowing you to complete this Request.

We’ve always been fans of having a Pokemon follow you around in Pokemon games but Can You Walk With Pokemon In Pokemon Legends Arceus? In recent years the Pokemon games have often included a feature where you can have one of your partner Pokemon follow you around the game world. Unfortunately however, that feature is not supported in Arceus.

We’re not really sure why the developers opted to not include this feature for Arceus. It was popular in nearly every game it was featured in. Back in the days from Pokemon Yellow when Pikachu would walk with you everywhere. In recent games the system evolved to let you have any Pokemon walk around with you. It’s even stranger when you consider that all of the models in Pokemon Legends Arceus are already 3D, they already have moving animations, it wouldn’t be too difficult to have the feature work.

Can You Walk With Pokemon In Pokemon Legends Arceus

It’s possible it was excluded for thematic reasons. In Pokemon Legends Arceus you’re helping to build the very first Pokedex. The world of Pokemon is still filled with unknowns, so having someone already skilled enough to simply walk around with Pokemon may not make much sense. Likely the same reason breeding was not included in the game.

While you can’t walk around with Pokemon you can interact with them. You can throw them out of your Pokeballs and talk to them or even throw out multiple Pokemon and watch them interact together.

One of the requests you get in Pokemon Arceus has you tracking down a Will O Wisp. Check out this guide to find out where to find the Mysterious Will O Wisp in Pokemon Arceus. This way you aren't looking all over the map for this single entity.
A strong Fighting type Pokemon is a great addition to an early Pokemon roster. This guide on Where To Catch Machop In Pokemon Legends Arceus will tell you where you can go to find a Machop very early in the game so you can add this strong Fighting type from the first generation to your team.

Surf has long been a staple part of the Pokemon franchise. This guide on How To Surf Across Water In Pokemon Legends Arceus will tell you everything you need to do so that you're able to swim or surf across water so you can reach new areas and catch new and exciting Pokemon.

Both weather and time of day play an important role in Arceus. This Pokemon Legends Arceus Weather & Time Symbols Guide breaks down the symbols and icons both for what time of day it is and the current weather system on the region you’re in. Unfortunately, there’s no trick to changing weather and time quickly or easily in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

If you want it to be a different time of day you need to either rest at a camp or at your hut in the village. If you want a specific weather condition, you simply need to rest at a camp until you get the weather condition you want. Make sure, when you rest, to always rest until a certain time. Just resting for a little while will only heal your Pokemon and will not move time forward much at all.

Many Pokemon only spawn under certain weather conditions. While most of the symbols are clear and easy to understand, some of them could be a little confusing. We’ve got a list of every weather icon below and what they mean.

Pokemon Legends Arceus offers players an exciting premise, to help construct the very first Pokedex. However, as Arceus takes place before the other Pokemon games, a lot of the information is discovered for the first time. This guide on How To Get All Starter Pokemon In Pokemon Legends Arceus will tell you how you can obtain all three of the starter Pokemon, regardless of what Pokemon you chose, without having to trade with other players or use online functionalities.

The choice of picking your starter Pokemon has always been a topic of hot debate with every new Pokemon game that gets released however, Arceus plays very differently to other Pokemon games. Simply charging into battle with a squad of glass cannons isn’t going to get the job done, so it’s now more important than ever to have a robust selection of Pokemon at your disposal, giving you the tools to take down every challenge put in your path. The starters always represent some of the stronger Pokemon of those types, so it’s a good thing you can get all of them in Arceus.

Follow our Pokemon Legends Arceus Walkthrough Guides for all our Arceus content.

How To Get All Starter Pokemon In Pokemon Legends Arceus

Sadly however, it’s not something you can do quickly. Whether you pick Rowlet, Cyndaquil, or Oshawott, the method of obtaining the other two starting Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus is identical. You need to complete the entire story first. You don’t need to do the mission to get Arceus, you just need to finish the main story so the credits roll.

After you have watched the credits, which you can’t skip, return to Jubilife Town and head to the Galactic Hall. Head into the Professors room and, as always, he’ll be standing next to his request board. Speak with him and he will offer for you to take the Pokemon out of his lab. Whatever Pokemon you chose at the start, he will give you the other two starting Pokemon.

This would be the perfect time to use our leveling up fast guide to get your starters up to par!

Request #62 - The Pokemon In The River Photo asks you to catch a very specific Pokemon. Bag space is very limited at the start of Pokemon Arceus. Check out this guide to find out how to carry more items in Pokemon Arceus. This way you don't have to go back to camp and drop off all the extra items you found while exploring.

There are a lot of Requests available as you explore the world of Pokemon Legends Arceus. They are usually given by towns folk as you explore the town, marked by a small request icon above the head of the person giving the Request. These are optional side quests that you can complete or ignore.

Important: A lot of Requests are tied directly to specific Pokemon so if the Request involves that Pokemon but you’ve yet to catch one, that’s the most likely reason the Request isn’t where it is listed. If you are struggling to find NPC’s on the map, be sure to track the quest so that the objective markers are shown.
