These metal orbs with symbols on them are tied to another quest. Once you are in Gerudo Town, in the sanctuary below the main city, you will find a lady inspecting a stone monument. Speaking to her starts the quest Heroines Secret, where she tasks you with finding 4 Stelae and taking a photograph.

What To Do With Metal Orbs With Symbols In Gerudo Town

Once you have completed this initial stage she shares her findings with you and tells you of a mysterious new character in the history of the Gerudo. This begins the quest The Mysterious Eighth. In this quest you are tasked with locating 7 of the metal orbs with symbols on them and returning them to the sanctuary.

There’s a small room with 7 statues inside. Each statue has a symbol on the front. You need to find the metal orbs, bring them back to the room, and place them in the arm of the statue with the matching symbol. That’s what you do with the metal orbs.
