How To Defeat Anubis In Assassins Creed Origins
The first Trial of the Gods has arrived and with it, the opportunity to fight a god! This guide will tell you How To Defeat Anubis In Assassins Creed Origins so you can take down the god himself and reap the rewards. Ubisoft have sold these as some of the toughest fights in the game, so get ready for a challenge.
This is a fight that is mostly ranged, but melee comes into play as well. Bring a good, fast shooting bow and any melee weapon. Take a pick from our list of Legendaries. Head out to the objective marker and prepare yourself for a fight.
It’s not actually that hard. Anubis has a wide arsenal of abilities but most of them are easily avoided. To begin with just keep peppering the shining area on his chest. He will throw out some dogs at you, I found these easier to block than dodge but if you’re dodging, be careful not to dodge into the other dog as they come in groups.
As the battle progresses his uses other abilities. A large area of effect ability in a line that cuts off part of the battlefield. Make sure to get out of the way of this or it’s likely going to kill you in one hit. Another attack Anubis will summon a group of enemies with melee weapons. You will be caged in during some of these fights, attack the fence immediately otherwise you may get caught in grenade type attacks from Anubis.
That’s all there is to it. Once you’ve learned his attacks, it’s a really easy battle.
what the fuck do you mean block the dogs? You cannot block them.
I only tested it once or twice but the damage appeared reduced. Alternatively you can run in one direction and occasionally dodge them but I was never able to do it past the first dog.
You can also use your ultimate ability. There are some invincibility frames when using it, and as it doesn’t connect with the dogs, it doesn’t get used up when you miss.
What I did was shoot the dogs with a light bow, as they die in one hit, it made the whole fight almost trivial. 🙂

Hey Cpt. Camper,
Sorry for the overly aggressive comment, was pretty frustrated at the time. So just to clarify, are the dogs that you’re referring to the ones that are summoned from the ground, or the ones that he casts with a red telegraphed line? I’m sure you’d be able to block the actual dogs that he summons, but not the red fiery ones. Also using your adrenaline ability can be a hazard as you can become stuck in place above one of his ‘black holes’, causing significant dps.
I ended up beating him anyway while using the golden wolf sword to gain hp after every melee kill, also the composite bow for hp per hit, which was a huge help.

It’s all good mate. You called on some shitty advice that was a little shitty. We don’t have a problem with that here 😀
I was talking about the fiery ones. I got damaged but it seemed so little I assume the shield was negating some of it. I could be wrong.
My adrenaline ability didn’t cause me any issues at all so maybe just a bit of luck there 😀 Glad you took it down 😀
Thank you 🙂
