There are a few different spots you can get this kind of wood, but you want to be down in Liyue. I normally start in the Guili plains.

Head to this area on the map and you will find plenty of trees to hit. All the trees in this area will give you the Sandbearer Wood you are looking for. Each one drops three pieces of wood so you can farm quite a bit here. They respawn every other day like the rest of the materials.

This is another good spot to get some more Sandbearer Wood.

You will have to glide down to the wood here, but there is plenty to be had at this location also.

Lastly you should travel to this way point. There are plenty of Sandbearer trees up here and you are up high so you can see any extra trees you might have missed. You probably will eventually need a lot of wood if you plan on making all the furniture, so grab a ton while you are here. It also helps to have a stock pile for any events later.
