5 Games You Must Play in November 2024

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake

A classic in the JRPG space, ARTDINK and Square Enix are giving a fan favorite entry a glow-up with the release of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake.

The narrative beginning to The Erdrick Trilogy of Dragon Quest titles, Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will task players with carrying on their parent Ortega’s quest to vanquish Baramos and save the world – no big deal.

A wealth of towns, castles, caves, towers and dungeons are just waiting to be explored in Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake.

From there, players will be able to build up a party of allies and take part in turn-based battles that require players to set party tactics and switch up each of their weapon loadouts.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will come out for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on November 14.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl

Violent mutants, deadly anomalies, and warring factions await with the release of GSC Game World’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

True to the series’ form, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will have players taking over the role of the titular lone stalker as they explore photorealistic seamless open world in a 64-km² radioactive zone.

More than 30 different types of weapons – each with a number of different modifications – are all available for the perfect lethal combination. Players will also need all the help they can get; mutants feature different behavior models that appear in different subtypes, making each encounter hard to predict.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will come out for the Xbox Series X|S and PC on November 20.

Slitterhead

Players will be able to pack their bags for the densely cluttered streets of Kowlong with the release of Bokeh Game Studio Inc.’s new title Slitterhead this Novemebr.

In this title, an entity knows as “Hyoki” will find himself dealing with enigmatic monsters that mimic humans, known as the titular “Slitterheads.”

Featuring possession-based high speed action, Slitterhead gives players the chance to possess and control human bodies at will. On that same note, players will be able to turn blood into weapons, possessing Rarities to unleash even more powerful attacks.

Slitterhead will come out for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 8.

Planet Coaster 2

The holidays mean theme parks, and there’s no better way to experience these thrills than with the release of Frontier Developments’ Planet Coaster 2.

Setting out to embrace creativity, Planet Coaster 2 lets players populate their part exactly how they see fit with piece-by-piece construction.

New to Planet Coaster are water rides – just the thing to make a splash (we just had to make that pun!). Sandbox Mode players build worldwide, and players can share coasters, rides, and even theme parks with other players.

Planet Coaster 2 will come out for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 6.

The Rise of the Golden Idol

20 strange cases of crime, death and depravity await with the release of Color Gray Games and Playstack’s The Rise of the Golden Idol this month.

The sequel to the award-winning detective saga that stole the hearts of countless players, The Rise of the Golden Idol will transport players to the 1970s as they follow the story of a tenacious relic hunter on their quest to unearth an artifact that has the power to reshape the world.

Set in a world of blood and disco (naturally), The Rise of the Golden Idol will task players with making sense of a grand mystery that unravels across hallucinogens, fax machines, parapsychology, and even TV guides.

The Rise of the Golden Idol will come out for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile via Netflix on November 12.
