Dawn Of Defiance Place Of Power Guide
At the start of Dawn of Defiance, you find yourself stranded in the Isle of Arrival. After exploring, you will encounter a Place of Power. These unlock new quests that you must complete if you want to progress through the game.
Quest Summary
Three Places of Power require three Giant Stone Weapons
Locate The Temple Of Hecate to find the Giant Stone Weapon Recipes
Craft each of the Giant Stone Weapons, restore each of the statues
Open the Temple of Hecate
Place Of Power I
The first Place of Power, likely one you have already run past, can be found in the Southern part of the island at this location. As with the other locations, you will unlock a quest as you arrive with two objectives:
- Swordless Statue Restored
- Tribute Paid
You need to find and craft a Giant Stone Sword and return it to the statue to complete the quest. You need 50 more Ambrosia Dust to activate the alter and complete the quest, then use the alter again to learn the Hardfall Ability.
Place Of Power II
Place of Power II is located on the Eastern side of the island. When you reach the location, you will be given a quest with two objectives.
- Spearless Statue Restored
- Tribute Paid
You need to craft a Giant Stone Spear and return it to the statue to complete the quest. You then need to use 50 Ambrosia Dust on the alter that appears to complete the quest. Use the alter again to learn the Dash Ability.
Place Of Power III
You can find Place of Power III located on the Northern tip of the island. You are given two objectives when you reach this location:
- Bowless Statue Restored
- Tribute Paid
To restore the Bowless Statue you need to craft the Giant Stone Bow and return it to the statue. You then need to use 50 Ambrosia Dust on the alter that appears to complete the quest. Use the alter again to learn the Glide Ability.
How To Find & Craft Giant Stone Weapons
To craft the Giant Stone Weapons, you first need to find the Temple of Hecate, marked near my icon on the map above. There is a large gate here, the gateway to the full game, and a group of statues encircling a chest.
Open the Treasure Chest to obtain a recipe for the Giant Stone Sword, Giant Stone Bow, and Giant Stone Spear. You then need to use the Crafting Station to make each of the weapons.
