The latest Assassin’s Creed DLC has been released and with it, new crafting items and resources. This guide will tell you What Are Shards Of The Star For In AC Origins: Curse Of The Pharaohs, special items that have appeared with the release of the new content.

As you are exploring the vast new lands of Thebes you will occasionally encounter Pharaoh Shadows. These powerful enemies appear and attempt to kill all of the civilians surrounding them. Most of the Pharaoh Shadows you encounter in the earlier areas are easy enough to take down.

When you kill one you may notice that you receive Shards of the Star, new items that are used in crafting. If you navigate to the Gear menu you will notice that you can expand your Crafting sections to new levels. This is currently the main use for the Shards of the Star, also loosely featured in The Hidden Ones DLC.
