There are a select few Pokemon in Arceus that prompt investigations once caught. The Request tasks you with catching a Combee from Grueling Grove (Obsidian Fieldlands) and Aipom Hill (Cobalt Coastlands). So you can catch two of those as you progress through the game in preparation for this investigation. The final Combee is caught on Ramanas Island (Obsidian Fieldlands), which requires surfing to reach. There’s a lone tree on the island that houses the Combee, because otherwise it would get slaughtered by the Chimchar there. Once you have all three you need to return them to the NPC and complete the Request. That completes the Investigation.
