Genesis Shoot-’Em-Up ZPF Pre-Orders Now Open

Following its wildly successful Kickstarter campaign, Mega Cat Studios and ZPF Team announced that hat pre-orders are now open for their new 16-bit shoot-‘em-up ZPF.

Starting today, bullet-dodging aficionados can secure their copy of ZPF for the SEGA Genesis/SEGA Mega Drive through Backerkit.

Inspired by classic shmups like Lords of Thunder, Elemental Master, and Thunder Force 3 and 4, ZPF features a variety of surreal realms that combine horror, sci-fi, and fantasy motifs.

ZPF Team co-founder Gryzor said the following:

“In 2019, I had no idea where this thing would even go. It didn’t have much direction or focus at the start, but the mess smoothed out, and eventually things clicked into place.

By the time the Kickstarter was ready, I had done at least twice the work as any of my other projects…and still more going now. It’s felt like we’ve been finished three or four times already, but it’ll be nice to be finally done.”
