Sac Gamers Expo 2024 Village Geeks Video Game Gauntlet Announced

A cross-genre gaming tournament like no other, Sac Gamers Expo 2024 will host The Village Geeks Video Game Gauntlet at this year’s event.

A free tournament with prizes, the following games will make an appearance as part of The Village Geeks Video Game Gauntlet at Sac Gamers Expo 2024:

  • ·      Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid
  •       Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
  •       Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged
  •       Screen Cheat
  •       TowerFall

Featuring a unique point-based structure, players will earn points across multiple rounds, with specific scoring rules tailored to each game. Note that most matches are 1v1, but TowerFall and Screencheat will feature 4-player split-screen battles. The winner of this tournament will be crowned based on performance and strategy across all games.

​Top players in the tournament will receive a Trophy amd an exclusive Village Geeks T-shirt. In addition, the top winner each day will also receive a weekend pass to SacAnime Winter 2025!​

Want to enter The Village Geeks Video Game Gauntlet? Registration pages for both December 14 and December 15 can be found via the official start.gg page – may the odds be ever in your favor! Do note there are only 24 registrations per day, so no time like the present.

Happening from December 14-15 at The Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Sacramento, CA, tickets for the event are available via the official Sac Gamers Expo website or at the door.

Sac Gamers Expo 2024 attendees can also join MC Lars, Mega Ran, Lo(u)ser, & Scarecrow Scandals at the Goldfield Trading Post December 14 for the Sac Gamers Expo 2024 official “In-Between” concert seriestickets are available now.
