What Does Cursed Do In Assassins Creed Origins
Want to know what that Curse effect is on your weapon? This guide will tell you What Does Cursed Do In Assassins Creed Origins so you can go into battle prepared and better equipped. Knowing is half the battle, as they say.

Assassin’s Creed Origins features a multitude of different perks and bonuses. Some of them are obvious, such as Critical Hit Damage, while others are more difficult to figure out. We have a detailed guide explaining every single weapon effect and bonus in the game so be sure to check that out if you want additional information on other perks.

However, there is one perk that stands out. Cursed. Unlike the other rare perks Cursed is red, not gold. Hinting at a possibly more sinister effect than the other rare perks, that are all totally positive.

Cursed Weapons do two big things. Firstly, they increase all of your damage by 200%. On some of the bigger weapons, this can be hugely devastating and enough to swipe down most enemies in a single blow. A bit like some of the weapons in our Legendary weapons guide.

The second effect however, is not as useful. Whenever a Cursed weapon is equipped your health is capped at 33% of your total HP. So while you’ll be cutting down foes in a single blow, there’s a good chance the right enemy will do the same to you.

200% increase in damage for 67% of your health lost. Is it a worthy sacrifice? That choice, is up to you.

  1. As much as cursed weapons have the downfall of lowering your health, a prolonged fight can easily drag your health bar low enough to the point where it won’t heal past the amount provided when using a cursed weapon. From my experience, I noticed that higher level enemies can’t straight up 1 shot you when you are at full health. Having your health constantly tick up to it’s “full amount” with a cursed weapon can improve your chances of survival. Sorry for the convoluted comment

  2. This article was very helpful and interesting. BTW That’s 67% not 77% if you’re capped at 33% health FROM 100% what a mistake lmao

  3. Cursed Spears are the best, you have an extra long reach with the swing and it basically 1 or 2 shots all enemies. who needs a health pool when you have no enemies. fights dont last any longer than a couple seconds.
