How To Craft A Pickaxe & Mine In Dawn Of Defiance

Whilst exploring The Isle of Arrivals in Dawn of Defiance, you will like encounter crystals and rocks you can mine, long before you’re able to craft a Pickaxe.

There is also a quest you can find, as you are exploring the caves if the Isle of Arrivals, that tasks you with mining for Ambrosia in the Caves.

You will need to complete the majority of the Isle of Arrivals in order to obtain the Pickaxe.

How To Unlock The Pickaxe Recipe

You need to find all three Places of Power on the Isle of Arrivals and complete those quests. The quests are nearly identical. You need to construct a Giant Stone Spear, a Giant Stone Sword, and a Giant Stone Bow.

You then need to give each of the statues at the Place of Powers their desired equipment: either the Sword, Spear, or Bow. If you need help locating the Places of Power, or the Giant Stone recipes, check out our detailed guide here.

Once you have completed those quests, the doors to the Temple of Hecate open. Head inside and loot all the chests to discover the Pickaxe recipe.
