Sac Gamers Expo 2024 Welcomes Special Guest Garry Kitchen

Sac Gamers Expo 2024 will feature storied video game designer, creator, and programmer Garry Kitchen at the upcoming event as a Special Guest.

Garry Kitchen’s entertainment career spans more than 30 years. Starting initially as a toy designer, he quickly transitioned into a pioneer in the launch of the video game industry.  

Previously developing games for the Atari 2600, Commodore 64, Nintendo Entertainment System, and Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Garry Kitchen’s Atari 2600 port of Donkey Kong was a major hit for Coleco, selling more than four million copies.

Garry Kitchen’s other 2600 work includes Keystone Kapers and Pressure Cooker for Activision and Space Jockey for U.S. Games. He also wrote Garry Kitchen’s GameMaker and The Designer’s Pencil for the Commodore 64.

Sac Gamers Expo 2024 is slated to happen from December 14-15 at The Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Sacramento, CA. 

Tickets for Sac Gamers Expo 2024 can be purchased ahead of time via the official Sac Gamers Expo website. Tickets for Sac Gamers Expo 2024 are also available at the door the weekend of the event.

Attendees can also join MC Lars, Mega Ran, Lo(u)ser, & Scarecrow Scandals at the Goldfield Trading Post December 14 for the Sac Gamers Expo 2024 official “In-Between” concert seriestickets are available now.
