Sci-Fi Horror FPS DEEPEST FEAR Announced

A sci-fi horror FPS with a retro-future aesthetic, the ocean depths await with Variable State’s newly announced DEEPEST FEAR (see what they did there?).

Set within he claustrophobic confines of the decaying Neptuneunderwater facility, DEEPEST FEAR has the water itself becomes a living threat. Adding to the experience is real-time fluid simulation, which allows for nightmarish entities to emerge from any water source or submerged space.

Taking control of Dr. Danni Carrol, DEEPEST FEAR will task players with fighting to the heart of a secret project founded by your estranged father. Along the way, players will set out to uncover mysteries both deeply personal and terrifying in their implications.

Making its appearance at the PC Gaming Show Most Wanted 2025 showcase yesterday, be sure to check out the reveal trailer for DEEPEST FEAR below:

While a release date has yet to be announced, those looking to get a dive into things (heh) and show their support can wishlist DEEPEST FEAR via its official Steam page.
