The Qwilfish evolution is much more than simply evolving a new form of Pokemon. It’s also part of The Sea Legends Request where you have to complete a series of strange events in order to battle and catch Manaphy and Phione. There is one requirement before you’re able to evolve Qwilfish, you need to have Barb Barrage mastered. Mastering a move means you’re able to use it in both Strong and Agile style, it’s required for this evolution so before doing anything else, master the Barb Barrage.

How To Evolve Qwilfish Into Overqwil In Pokemon Legends Arceus

When you use moves in Strong or Agile style, it takes double the normal PP. Barb Barrage has 15 PP and you need to use the move in Strong style 20 times. That means resting to restore PP 3 times. It can take 15-20 minutes but you can speed it up. Head to Obsidian Fieldlands at night and fight the Drifloon that spawn near the camp. Due to their type they can take two hits of Bar Barrage and Qwilfish is immune to their confusion.

The Barb Barrage must hit. If you miss or they avoid the attack, it doesn’t count. After you have successfully hit 20 Strong Style Barb Barrage’s, you will be able to evolve Qwilfish into Overqwil.
