How To Cross Water In Pokemon Sword & Shield
In order to cross water, you will need to get an upgrade for your Bike. You need to take out the Rock Gym leader, which is the sixth Badge, and then take Route 9.
On your way down Route 9, you will run into Team Yell and the guy who gave you the Bike in the first place. Talk to them and you will have to face off with one of the Team Yell goons. Beat him down and then talk to the Bike guy again. He will thank you for your help and offer to upgrade your bike so that it can float on water. He calls them land mode and water mode. You just need to ride the bike into the water for it to change.
