How To Unlock Co Op In Far Cry 6

In order to unlock co op in Far Cry 6, you will have to keep going through the story. Don’t worry, it isn’t a long wait. You can start to co op after mission four or five, I don’t recall but it is early. Once co op is unlocked, you will then have to join each others game. I think you can still do it from the main menu, but if you are in game you will have to do something else.

Press start and in the top right you should see a little symbol to show your friends. Hover over that and you can select any of your friends to join up with in co op easy. You have three choices, play with a friend, search for a partner, or be the partner. Friend is easy, you join up with someone you know. Searching for a partner makes you the host to a random perosn, and being a partner does the opposite.

• Get to the first island
• Keep playing the story
• As you progress a pop up will tell you that Co-op is unlocked
• Go to your main menu and in the top right you can see your friends list
• Click that and you can join randoms or friends

If you are wondering why it matters; only the host will get story progression in their world. You bring back cash, weapons, and other unlockable, but you don’t progress in the story as a partner.
