Where To Get A Fishing Pole In Far Cry 6

The fishing pole can’t actually be missed but I know some of you are wondering when you get it. Keep going with the main mission and you will run into a story quest to kill a leader and do something with fuel. The reward for that quest will be the fishing pole and you can start fishing right after the quest is completed. When you have the fishing pole, you need to open up your weapon/tool wheel and select the fishing pole.

• Get to the first island
• Keep playing the story
• Complete the story mission to take over a fuel depot
• Complete mission to kill leader of Isla Santuario
• Turn the quest in to get your fishing pole

From there you can fish in rivers, lakes, the ocean, or wherever there is water around. You can see the fish because the make ripples and jump out of the water, so be sure to try and hit those spots for the best results. You can also equip bait, but I am still figuring that part out.
