Sableye can be used in both Pokemon Sword & Pokemon Shield but it’s a version exclusive, which means you can only catch one on Shield. To make matters worse, I only encountered it during foggy weather. If you know your weather symbols, you’re probably already aware that fog is very rare in Pokemon Sword & Shield. In fact, it’s nearly impossible to encounter it before completing the entire game.
Where To Find A Sableye In Pokemon Shield
You can find Sableeye here on the map, in the Dusty Bowl region of the Wild Area. As I mentioned previously, I’ve only ever encountered it during foggy weather. It is an over world Pokemon, which means you can visibly see it running around, it doesn’t need to be a random grass encounter.
It’s a Dark/Grass Pokemon so be wary using anything that may kill it in one hit. It’s deceptively strong for a Pokemon of this size so don’t go in unprepared.
