How To Get The Fusion Cutter In Star Wars Outlaws

As you explore the game, you will often find these yellow metal gates blocking your path. In order to explore these areas, you need to unlock a unique tool, it’s called the Fusion Cutter. Check out the guide below to learn how to unlock this tool in Star Wars Outlaws, you’re going to need it.

The Fusion Cutter is a unique tool that cannot be found or purchased in the game world. Instead, you must follow specific story missions in order to unlock it.

Bonus Tip

In order to explore all areas of the map in Star Wars Outlaws, you’re going to need three unique upgrades. The Fusion Cutter, the Blaster upgrade to blow up walls, and the speeder upgrade to traverse deep water.

All of these upgrades are split across two planets, Tatooine and Akiva. As such, we recommend hitting up Tatooine first for the blaster upgrade, and then choosing Akiva as the next planet to get the other two upgrades.

The Fusion Cutter is on planet Akiva, in Myrra. When you arrive, you will unlock the story missions to free your friend Gedeek, one of the required crew members for the upcoming heist.

Once you have freed Gedeek from the clutches of the Empire, he will contact you over comms about some other missions. Return to your ship at this point, and ND-5 will suffer a malfunction.

Gedeek will then explain that ND-5 requires a new power core, or he will stop functioning. This starts the mission Legacy. Follow and complete the mission objectives and near the end of the mission, Gedeek will give you the Fusion Cutter.
